ABOUT WSET
The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) was founded in 1969
in London England to promote, provide and develop high quality education
and training in wines, spirits and other alcoholic beverages for
those already in or intending to join the trade, and enthusiastic
consumers throughout the world. Since it's inception, WSET has grown
into the foremost international body in the field of wines and spirits
education. Currently, the program is available in over 47 countries
in 13 languages and teaches an astonishing 21,000 students every
year.
In addition to courses for those in the 'trade', there
is an increasing number of 'consumers', or enthusiasts, who attend
courses. They may attend a course because of a wish to gain
the merit of passing the course(s) or simply a desire to enhance
their knowledge of the ever-increasing variety of wines and spirits
being produced in the world today.
The WSET works through a network of Approved Program Providers around
the world. These external Providers are rigorously checked
to ensure that they deliver the high standard of teaching required
to enable students to pass their WSET courses.
Whatever your level of interest, you will find it at the Wine &
Spirit Education Trust, and we look forward to welcoming you onto
one of our programs.
WSET qualifications are part of the UK qualifications framework,
and the education courses leading to WSET qualifications are an
invaluable source of information for students to enhance their knowledge
of wines and spirits. WSET qualifications are not a guarantee of
employment or career progression, nor do they form part of any regulated
qualifications framework outside UK. |
